Our approach

A deliberate path from first call to annual review

Financial advice at Crown Hill follows a fixed sequence so you always know what happens next — and what you are paying for.

Engagement stages

Built for consultations, not product pitches

This page sits beside our consultations. Use it to see how a typical household planning engagement unfolds before you request a conversation.

  1. Suitability conversation. A short call to confirm we can help with UK retail advice, outline fees, and decide whether a full plan or a focused review is appropriate.
  2. Discovery meeting. We gather goals, dependents, existing pensions, investments, protection, and a realistic household budget. You leave with a document checklist.
  3. Analysis & modelling. We research schemes and build cash-flow projections. No recommendations are finalised until this picture is complete.
  4. Recommendation meeting. You receive a written plan with trade-offs explained. You may instruct us to implement, take the plan elsewhere, or pause.
  5. Implementation (optional). Where you ask us to arrange cover or investment changes, we confirm charges in writing first.
  6. Scheduled review. Annual or life-event reviews keep the plan aligned with remortgages, inheritances, or changes at work.

What we ask of you

Preparation that keeps advice accurate

Bring recent pension statements, mortgage illustrations, payslips or dividend summaries, and a note of near-term goals such as school fees or leaving work early. Incomplete paperwork slows modelling and can leave gaps in protection advice.

Meetings last sixty to ninety minutes. Couples usually attend together for household plans so both voices shape the goals we model.
